Simplicity and Speed Comes First

First Time Visitors

Welcome to my web log. Here you will find information about how to cook very efficiently. Life demands more and more from each of us everyday. Managing time, money and energy more efficiently become critical skills in urban life.

This site is all about cook heathy food fast, cheap and tasty. Hence, save time, money and healthy food give you more energy to do other things.

Here are the orders of importance that I use to evaluate a dish/recipe:

  1. Speed. How fast one can cook. – save cooking time
  2. Convenience. Are the ingredients easy to get? Is it cheap? Is clean up easy? – save shopping time and clean up time after cooking.
  3. Quantity. How easy to cook large quantity. – save time by producing more
  4. Heath. Is the food health? – Healthy food helps you recover your energy.
  5. Storage Life. How long can the food be safely stored? – Longer storage life
  6. Taste. Is the food taste good? – After all taste is also important.

Currently my average time spending on cooking each week:

20 minutes shopping for the week. 1 hours and 20 minutes cooking 4 to 5 dishes for the week (lunch and dinner combined). I generally eat out 2 to 3 times a week and eat my own food 10 to 12 times a week. 30 minutes clean up after cooking. (I don’t have a dish washer) 5 minutes clean up each evening I eat at home. (about 30mins per week.)

That’s 2 hours 40 minutes shopping, cooking and cleaning for food for the entire week. (Plus 2 to 3 times dinning out).

I am sure you can do better. That’s why the site is here. It is for sharing information with others so that we all can do better. My goal is too cook so fast that beats eating at McDonald's everyday!
